Registration

  • All Mini-Workshops will be held in the Community Room of the Matthews Community Center, 100 McDowell Street East, Matthews, NC. This is the larger building past the McDowell Art Center (same room as the morning demo). Workshop hours are 1:00 til 4:00 PM. There is an optional catered lunch provided at 12:00 noon for $8.00 per person. Please email Brent Scott at bscott14@carolina.rr.com so she can plan the food amount. You may pay her directly.

Workshop:  Karen Margulis (IAPS-MC, PSA): “Cooking with Color: Recipes for Exciting Color in Your Paintings"
We are offering our PPS Members and Non-Members an optional Mini Workshop, designed to follow after our morning program demonstration, to provide a more in-depth learning experience from the instructor.


All Mini-Workshops will be held in the Community Room of the Matthews Community Center, 100 McDowell Street East, Matthews, NC. This is the larger building past the McDowell Art Center (same room as the morning demo). Workshop hours are 1:00 till 4:00pm.

“Choosing the color palette for each painting is my favorite part of the painting process. I love to go beyond local color and add a personal touch to my work with color. It is all too easy to get into trouble with color so I turn to tried and true recipes”.


Afternoon Workshop: Karen will continue to explore her color harmony ideas, working with the color wheel to make color theory fun. She will demo, give handouts and plenty of individual help as you cook with color!
